The Construction Labor Research Council reported that newly negotiated construction wages and benefit agreement settlements last year averaged a $1.73 increase, or 4.5 percent, for their first year. The average second-year increase for multiyear agreements was $1.99, or 4.7 percent. Plumbers and pipefitters averaged $2.09 increases for the first year.
