June 3, 2002
ImproveNet, a national home improvement service, announced a restructuring effective March 29, 2002, which included the closure of its service center in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Customer service operations are now handled out of the company's headquarters in Redwood City, Calif.

The restructuring resulted in a 45 percent cut of the total workforce, including Chief Financial Officer Mike Santiago. The company had previously reported a 2 percent decrease in 2001 revenues.

Key personnel continues to maintain the company's Premier Services, which includes installed sales for The Home Depot as well as kitchen and bath remodeling services for homeowners in the San Francisco and Los Angeles market areas.
