Dirt separator line
Ferrous oxide can cause problems in hydronic systems when fine ferrous particles become attracted to the permanent magnets common in today’s high-efficiency circulator motors, working their way into the wet-rotor bearing cartridges causing impeller fouling. Caleffi’s DIRTMAG magnetic dirt separator line captures these particles before they cause prob-lems. To remove trapped debris, simply detach the magnetic ring from the brass body and open the purge valve. There is no need to take the system offline. DIRTMAG is available in sizes 1” to 2” with threaded or sweat connections.
