National Association of Oilheating Service Managers (NAOHSM) will hold its 58th Annual Convention and Trade Show in Hershey, PA, from May 22-26. The 2011 theme is “Celebrating Christmas in May” and will feature several special events for attendees.

  • The Dave Nelsen Memorial Golf Tournament will begin on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Iron Valley Golf Club with a shotgun start and scramble format. Although golf has been a part of past conventions, this is the organization’s first “real” tournament. Lunch will be provided. Prizes will be awarded at a cocktail party following the tournament. All proceeds go to our scholarship fund for students planning to further their education in the oilheat industry.

  • The Trade Show will take place on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday (with an early start) from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Classes will be held on all three days. Stick around after the show for classes on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.

  • The Care to Ride event will kick off on Monday afternoon. An opening reception BBQ will take place at the finish line. This event is a major fundraiser for Oil Heat Cares.

  • Special chocolate and wine events are planned for the women in the industry (men are also invited). Hershey will present the chocolate event and Laurie Forster, The Wine Coach, will lead the educational wine event.

In keeping with the 2011 theme of Christmas in May, there will be a collection of toys and books for the Toys for Tots program with Marines on-hand to collect donations.
