McCarthy Services is one of the largest HVAC and plumbing service providers in the greater D.C. area, with facilities in Alexandria, Va., and Gaithersburg, Md.

ARS/Rescue Rooter, a privately held, nationwide provider of air conditioning, heating, plumbing, insulation, radiant barrier and ventilation services, acquired the assets of Washington D.C.-based McCarthy Services. The company provides plumbing, heating and air-conditioning services and has been in business more than 20 years. McCarthy is one of the largest HVAC and plumbing service providers in the greater D.C. area, with facilities in Alexandria, Va., and Gaithersburg, Md.

“We have long had an interest in building on our historic strength in the Washington D.C. area, while patiently being very particular about who we developed a relationship to expand with,” saidScott Kacic, east division vice president for ARS/Rescue Rooter. “We are very happy to have found the right partner in Dan McCarthy.”

McCarthy Services will continue to be managed by its founder and owner,Dan McCarthy. The business will also maintain the name McCarthy Services for the near term.

ARS/Rescue Rooter, headquartered in Memphis, has been expanding the ARS/Rescue Rooter Network nationally through organic growth and acquisitions since 2006.
