Chicago-based distributor, W.W. Grainger Inc., plans to more than double its “Tools for Tomorrow” scholarship program, which awards students $2,000 to complete industrial trade programs at colleges and technical schools.

Industry experts predict major skilled labor shortages over the next 10 years, according to a Grainger release. The company will offer 100 scholarships to students across the country pursuing careers in plumbing, welding and automotive repair. The program is jointly sponsored by the American Association of Community Colleges.
