Roger Peugeot, owner of the Roger The Plumber company (Overland Park, Kan.), strayed from his typical early-morning routine of stopping for coffee and ended up a hero, saving a woman whose house was on fire.

After noticing the blaze while driving through the residential neighborhood, Peugeot called 911. He then pulled over and pounded on the front door, alerting the elderly woman inside.

"The door opened up, and I told her, 'Get out! The house is on fire,’” Peugeot told Channel 5 KCTV News. He reassured her the authorities had been contacted, and that she needed to get out. She was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Not only did Peugeot save a woman, he also saved a customer ― the homeowner was a past client of Roger The Plumber. "Just for the heck of it, I checked the database, and she's been a customer. We've done work for her. I will probably check in and make sure she's OK," KCTV reported.

Peugeot is known for being a go-to plumber and business owner. He was recently chosen as one ofPlumbing & Mechanical’s “25 Most Influential Contractors Of The Past Quarter Century.”
