State Water Heaters recently announced the winner of its “Be a NASCAR Crew Chief for a Day” promotion. Ed Norton of Plumbing Service Experts in Kansas City, Kan., selected the Chevy Rock and Roll 400 in Richmond, Va., as his prize.

As part of the prize, Norton was able to sit alongside Robert “Bootie” Barker as he helped coach Scott Riggs during the recent 400-lap race. In addition to sitting with the team in the #66 State Water Heaters/Haas CNC pit box, Norton was presented with a team crew uniform shirt.

The “Be a Crew Chief for a Day” promotion was rolled out via counter stands at all State wholesalers. Plumbers who purchased a State Premier® Power-Vent or the new State Premier® Power-Vent DV water heater had the opportunity to register to win a trip to a NASCAR race to be Scott Riggs’ assistant crew chief for a day.

“I never thought I’d have the opportunity to do this,” Norton said. “I’ve been a NASCAR fan my whole life, and thanks to State Water Heaters I finally got to see the race from Pit Road.”
