FloPro Team members still can receive hands-on training in radiant and hydronics.

Taco Inc. recently hosted a full house of FloPro contractors in Cranston, R.I., as it launched its second round of the company’s 2008 Factory Training Program.

During “The ‘Compleat’ Boiler Room," which consisted of two days of classroom teaching, hands-on training and some lively discussions, the group of experienced hydronic pros took a look at sizing and piping of modulating-condensing and cast iron boilers, the sizing and application of circulators and zone valves, discussed zoning strategies, and did real-world hydronic electronics as well.

The second trimester continues May 15-16 with "Strictly Radiant." “It's an exciting program on the concepts and theories behind radiant heating, combined with practical water temperature control and advanced zoning strategies,” says Taco trainer Jon Barba.

Taco will round out the trimester June 5-6 with "Hydronic Heat Loss & Design," a more in-depth course on how to conduct an accurate heat loss analysis with pencil, paper and calculator, and by using Taco’s state-of-the-art FloPro Design Software.
