American Residential Services LLC, owner of the ARS and Rescue Rooter brands, recently purchased three companies: Atlanta-based Universal Heating and Cooling; Indianapolis-based Air-Trol Heating and Air Conditioning; and Las Vegas and Phoenix-based 24/7 Service Corp., which operates Yes! Air Conditioning, Yes! Plumbing and Sunset Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning.
Jake Mazhar, Universal’s CEO and owner, and his staff will remain with the company, which will operate as Universal/ARS, working in conjunction with Rescue Rooter plumbing in Atlanta. Air-Trol will become part of ARS/Rescue Rooter, which already operates a branch in the Indianapolis area. Ken Goodrich, 24/7 president and owner, will lead and expand existing HVAC and plumbing operations in Las Vegas and Phoenix, as well as ARS’s HVAC businesses in Southern California, along with Yes! key executives Lance Fernandez and Jeremy Prevost. Sunset founders Bill Moore and Shana Daigneau will continue to lead the Sunset operation in Las Vegas.
