Sloan Valve Co. and C.J. Erickson Plumbing Co. have partnered to supply the Chicago Center for Green Technology water-efficient plumbing fixtures and installation labor.

Sloan Valve Co. and Chicago-based C.J. Erickson Plumbing Co. have partnered to supply the Chicago Center for Green Technology water-efficient plumbing fixtures and installation labor to support the center's goal of helping professionals and homeowners learn how green technology is cost-effective and good for the environment.

Sloan provided its new SOLIS™ solar-powered, sensor-controlled faucets, UPPERCUT™ dual-flush toilet valves and ultra low-consumption urinal valves to the center. Installation labor was supplied by C.J. Erickson.

"Right now, 20 percent of our new construction includes sensor technology on both faucets and toilets," said George Seline, vice president, C.J. Erickson. "We expect that percentage to steadily increase. The companies that embrace this technology today will be the ones who lead the construction industry's future."

Recently, Sloan Valve signed an agreement to offset all of the energy used at its Franklin Park, Ill., facility with energy produced by clean, renewable sources. This makes Sloan one of the largest supporters of renewable energy power in the state of Illinois, the company said.
