Contractors across Pennsylvania that install energy-efficient equipment are encouraged to attend a free seminar that will feature the Keystone Home Energy Loan Program (KeystoneHELP), the state's Energy Star HVAC and home improvement financing program.

KeystoneHELP's below-market, 8.99 percent unsecured 10-year term, fixed-rated financing can help Pennsylvania homeowners to affordably improve the energy efficiency of their homes. For loans from $1,000 to $10,000, the program requires no home equity, has loan terms of up to 10 years, and has no closing costs.

Under this program, contractors can offer their customers a fixed-rate alternative to higher rate credit cards or other financing methods. Contractors must be approved by AFC First Financial Corp. to perform work under the program. Information on how to become an approved contractor/dealer will be available at the seminars.

Contractors will also receive program updates, new sales tips and details on KeystoneHELP's new customer marketing programs for dealers.

Seminars are being held in April at the following locations:

  • April 13 -- Altoona (Ramada Altoona)
  • April 17 -- Allentown/Reading (TekPark Breinigsville)
  • April 18 -- Erie (The Avalon)
  • April 19 -- Pittsburgh (Holiday Inn Airport)
  • April 24 -- Valley Forge (Radisson Valley Forge)
