Habitat for Humanity International announced the successful completion of its five-year “More Than Houses” campaign to raise $500 million to build 100,000 homes between 2000 and 2005, doubling the building capacity of the organization's first 25 years. Ferguson, who first became involved in Habitat's work in 2003, was instrumental in the campaign's success through its $1.3 million commitment.

The goal was reached in August 2005 when Habitat completed its 200,000th home in Knoxville, Tenn. As of Dec. 31, 2005, the campaign had raised more than $593 million.

Ferguson is a national partner in Habitat's Home Builders' Blitz.
