Denmark-based Grundfos recently agreed to purchase American pump manufacturer PACO Pumps, which is owned by the Swiss Sulzer group. PACO, based in Houston, primarily makes pumps for cooling and air-conditioning applications in the commercial building services market. With sales branches and distributors nationwide, it also has a production facility in China, which is part of the purchase agreement.

The PACO production and brand will continue under a new entity called Grundfos CBS Inc.; the PACO name will remain as a product brand. The present management of PACO and Grundfos' American Regional Managing Director Larry Wimmer will manage the company.
