On The Move

Various manufacturers announce appointments, promotions and retirements.

  • Kevin Beckett has been named president and CEO of the R. W. Beckett Corp., which makes oil burners. Previously he served as president and COO. He takes over the CEO role from his father, John Beckett, who will remain active as chairman.

  • Joe Troccoli Sr. announced that his son, J.J. Troccoli, has joined his rep agency, which is the exclusive sales rep for A.O. Smith's Perma Tank Water Systems business. J.J. Troccoli has been the northeastern region sales manager for State Water heaters since 1998.

  • Unico, maker of mini-duct central heating and air-conditioning systems, appointed Ted Brown as its national training specialist. Brown previously served as an independent training consultant for Unico, and was a manufacturers rep at M. Brady and Associates.

  • Oney Temple has been hired as director of channel marketing for Moen. He is responsible for the strategic account management of the hospitality, multifamily housing, assisted living and manufactured housing markets. Temple had been Ohio president of American Electric Power.

  • Eljer Plumbingware recently announced several sales staff promotions: Richard Lunn has been named vice president-eastern sales; Al Wildschut moves to vice president-western sales; Phillis Reed is now Eljer's national sales director; Dale Laurence has been named sales/product manager-kitchen sinks; and Julie Swinyer has been promoted to vice president of customer service and sales operations.

  • Red-White Valve Corp. appointed Peter O'Donnell as Eastern regional sales manager. He had been with Stockham Valve as a regional sales manager.

  • Selkirk LLC announced the following promotions: Ray Overbey to vice president of Southwest operations; Fred Pierce to national sales manager of the Hearth Division, in addition to his current position of national sales manager of the Commercial/Industrial Division; and Bill Sendelback to director of venting products for all divisions

    Also, Doug Hay retired as plant manager of the Nampa, Idaho facility. Succeeding him is Ritch Blackstead.

  • Denmark's Danfoss Inc. announced the retirement of Finn Fastrup as president of its Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Segment after 39 years of service, effective Jan. 1, 2004. Succeeding him is Vagn Helberg, who was previously president of the segment's controls division.

    Kjeld Stærk was appointed sales president of the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Division for North and South America. He will be located at the company's U.S. headquarters in Baltimore. He succeeds Robert Wilkins, who assumed the newly created position of president of Danfoss Inc. Business Services Division.
