John Garvelink, co-owner of Commercial Design Engineering, Colorado Springs, Colo., and past president of the PHCC-NA, recently received a North American Technician Excelence (NATE) award in special recognition for his leadership in technician excellence. Garvelink, who is the founding chairman of the NATE program, received the 2004 Ted Rees Leadership Awards from the NATE Board of Trustees. The NATE Board of Trustees created the special award to recognize individuals who have demonstrated exemplary leadership in the pursuit of technician excellence.
