The Remodelers' Show is anticipating record attendance as it moves into the COBO Conference/Exhibit Center in Detroit, Mich., Oct. 19-21.

With American households expected to spend more than $150 billion on remodeling this year, The Remodelers' Show, sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders, is anticipating record attendance as it moves into the COBO Conference/Exhibit Center in Detroit, Mich., Oct. 19-21, 2000.

This year for the first time, the show will open on a Thursday and run through Saturday, offering three full days of educational programs and exhibits. The Remodelers' Show is the largest event in the industry focused exclusively on professional remodeling. Attendees can choose from more than 70 seminars and workshops grouped into seven tracks of related subjects: business essentials, sales and marketing, owners, managers, production, field solutions, and cutting edge.

"Feng-shui and Home Remodeling: a New Mix;" "What's Said vs. What's Heard" and "Remodeling with Radiant Floor Heating" are a few of the dozens of new programs that will be featured. Also, two educational sessions orientated toward the expansive seniors' market, "What's Hot in Universal Kitchens and Baths" and "Fixing to Stay: Modification Strategies for a Maturing Population" will be offered.

More than 350 of the industry's best-known manufacturers and suppliers will be on the show's floor displaying power tools, hardware, software and building materials. New this year will be an Internet Technology Pavilion with the latest in Web and wireless applications.
