Malleable iron pipe fittings made in China are being sold, or are likely to be sold, at less than fair market value in the United States, according to the preliminary determination filed by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Consequently, duties are to be placed on all malleable pipe fittings manufactured in the People’s Republic of China in the following manner:

Manufacturer/Exporter: Weighted-Average Margin

Jinan Meide Casting Co. Ltd.: 13.80%

Beijing Sai Lin Ke Hardware Co. Ltd. (SLK): 144.43%

Langfang Pannext Pipe Fittings Co. Ltd. (Pannext): 4.96%

Chengde Malleable Iron General Factory: 52.50%

SCE Co Ltd.: 52.50%

All other Chinese manufacturers or exporters: 146.41%

Estimated Weighted Average: 50%

“While these findings are preliminary, and lower than we expected, Anvil will continue to ask the U.S. government to enforce trade laws that put Anvil on a level playing field with the competition from China,” said Anvil International President Thomas E. Fish.
