The National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers recently released its 2003 traveling education program schedule. Three courses will be taught over the summer at various venues around the Northeast.

  • Advanced Commonsense Troubleshooting -- This one-day course will be taught by George Lanthier, and will include a live firing demonstration. It is being held June 24 at the Days Inn, Allentown, Pa.; June 25 at the Holiday Inn, Springfield, N.J.; and June 26 at the Holiday Inn, Plainview, N.Y.

  • Professional Service Management -- Jim Peters is the instructor for this two-day seminar covering such topics as gross profit planning, service agreements, business plans, customer relations, job descriptions and tasks of the service manager. Class size is limited to 30 students at each location: July 23-24 at the Armonk Ramada Inn, Armonk, N.Y.; and July 30-31 at the Best Western, Manchester, N.H.

  • Review Of Electricity & Electrical Troubleshooting -- PM columnist Carol Fey tackles this one-day program. Locations are: Aug. 12 at the Holiday Inn, Mansfield, Mass.; Aug. 13 at the Holiday Inn, Portsmouth, N.H.; and Aug. 14 at the Fireside Inn & Suites, West Lebanon, N.H.
