ECR International of Utica, N.Y., is recalling about 8,000 gas boilers due to overproduction of carbon monoxide. The problem was discovered during routine testing and the company has not received any reports of injuries, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recalled boilers have the Dunkirk, Sears/Kenmore, Bryant, Carrier, Payne, Lennox and Pennco brand names. The boilers were sold nationwide from August 2001 through March 2002. Visit www.ecrinternational.com for a list of recalled serial numbers.
