Tyco Fire & Building Products recently announced that it has become certified as an authorized provider of Continuing Education Units from the International Association for Continuing Education and Training. Tyco, which holds several fire protection training programs throughout the year, offers these CEU credits for both its “General Fire Protection Training” and “Residential Fire Protection Training” courses.

These two training courses also offer Learning Units through the American Institute of Architects and have DSFM accreditation through the Florida Division of State Fire Marshal; Bureau of Fire Prevention Continuing Education System.

Tyco’s fire protection training classes are designed to meet the learning needs of a broad array of audiences — engineers, designers, installers, contractors, home builders and authorities having jurisdiction. These training sessions are offered at the company’s new state-of-the-art Global Technology Center in Cranston, R.I. The training includes classroom learning, hands-on valve training, and fire sprinkler demonstrations in two separate fire test cells. Classes are held for up to 24 participants.

For more information, or to register online for an upcoming class, visit www.tyco-fire.com or call 401/781-8220, ext. 500.
