Home improvement show Designing Spaces showcased BlazeMaster® fire sprinkler systems on an episode that debuted on the WE television network Saturday, April 5, and on TLC Sunday, April 6. Local network affiliates across the country also aired the show throughout the month of April.

The half-hour episode focused on green building initiatives and included a segment on the environmental benefits of residential fire sprinkler systems.

BlazeMaster partnered with Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers Inc. and Mecca Builders for the television show. Wayne Automatic installed the system filmed for the segment. Custom homebuilder Mecca Builders allowed BlazeMaster to use the construction site of a new 5,000 square-foot home for the filming.

Matthew Kuwatch, BlazeMaster global marketing manager, was interviewed for the segment. “Most people don’t think of fire sprinklers as being environmentally friendly,” said Kuwatch. “In addition to being the only system that can be installed in a home to extinguish a fire, sprinkler systems can also positively affect the environment by reducing the impact of home fires.”
