Clockwork Home Services, parent to the Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchise, announced franchise growth for the third quarter of 2008 within its portfolio of nationally branded home services companies.

During the period from July through September, 2008, Clockwork added 27 new plumbing, air conditioning & heating, and electrical franchises. Including these additions, the company now serves 566 territories with franchises in the plumbing, heating & air conditioning, and electrical sectors.

Clockwork reported that Benjamin Franklin Plumbing added seven new franchises in the second quarter of 2008. Benjamin Franklin now serves 249 territories across the United States. New territories include South Jordan, Utah; Santa Maria, Calif.; North Port, Fla.; Staten Island, N.Y.; Colorado Springs, Clo.; Hot Springs, Ark.; and Carlisle, Pa.

In addition, One Hour added 12 new franchises and serves 241 territories across the nation. Mister Sparky added eight new franchises and now serves 76 territories nationwide.

“Despite the slow economy – or perhaps, partly because of it – contractors are continuing to recognize the benefits of banding together under a nationally franchised brand,” said Tab Hunter, president of Franchise Operations for Clockwork.
