With the recent reintroduction of the residential tax credits for energy-efficient improvements, a number of A.O. Smith high-efficiency water heater models are eligible for a $300 tax credit. To qualify, units must be placed into service between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2009.

“By encouraging the installation of high efficiency water heaters, the government is addressing a long-term energy conservation challenge while consumers begin to save immediately on their utility bills,” announced David Chisolm, A.O. Smith water heater brand manager. The A.O. Smith Vertex product line and the tankless products both qualify for this tax credit.
