The National Biodiesel Board has launched www.bioheatonline.com, a website designed to educate consumers and dealers on the benefits of Bioheat®, a blend of heating oil and pure biodiesel that creates a clean, environmentally-friendly home heating fuel.

The Petroleum Marketers Association of America believe Bioheat could help meet the increasing demand for cleaner and greener home heat. NBB’s creative team had two distinct objectives in mind when developing the site: 1) to educate home heating oil customers and dealers on the benefits of Bioheat, and 2) to provide top-notch marketing tools for local heating oil dealers. The site features a simple, video-based approach with personable hosts who walk consumers through the basics of biodiesel and Bioheat.

For heating oil dealers, the site provides technical resources and clear, concise information about blending and selling Bioheat to consumers. The site also encourages heating oil dealers to register online to become Bioheat dealers.

Once registered, dealers are given access to professionally produced advertising and marketing materials, customizable for their market. In addition to marketing materials, fuel dealers, OEM’s and fuel wholesalers will have access to the Bioheat hotline (1-877-B5-1-LINE), where they can discuss technical issues with the industry professionals coordinated by Advanced Fuel Solutions Inc., the biodiesel board’s petroleum liaison.
