Viega is in the process of building its new 439,000-square-foot manufacturing and logistics facility in McPherson, Kan. But when the building’s roof is 11 acres wide, alternative measures of transporting materials must be taken.

The company’s building contractor utilized a helicopter instead of a crane to deliver 28 new a/c and exhaust units to the top of the project ― in just one hour 14 minutes flat ― on the morning of Aug. 26.

When it is finished later this year, Viega’s new plant will house production for all the company’s plastics products, including ViegaPEX tubing and ViegaPEX manifold plumbing systems. For more information about Viega, visit www.viega.com.
