Gerber Plumbing Fixtures announced Warriner Smith
Utilities Inc. (Nanuet, N.Y.) as its grand-prize winner for the “75 Years of
Professional Performance” campaign, created as a gesture of gratitude to the
entire plumbing trade.
During 2007, Gerber celebrated its 75th
anniversary and launched a national search for plumbing contracting firms that
had reached or exceeded the same 75-year milestone. Randomly selected from an
impressive group of more than 100 eligible plumbing contracting firms from
across the country that entered the promotion, Warriner Smith Utilities Inc. is
the recipient of $2,500 in Gerber product to be selected from a Gerber
wholesaler.
The
company was established in 1908 by John Warriner Smith. The family-owned
business has been thriving for more than 100 years.
"Every
year in this business is an achievement, and we at Warriner Smith Utilities
have our community, employees, friends and family to thank for nearly 100 years
of success," stated Greg Smith, great-grandson of John Warriner Smith. "We
also appreciate all of Gerber's efforts to generously celebrate the trades [in]
the midst of its 75 year anniversary ― it is truly a significant milestone,
cheers to many more," continued Smith.
Gerber
also awarded five other qualified entries with secondary prizes of $250 in
Gerber product. They include:
- Thomas E. Clark Co., Silver
Springs, Md. (1891)
- Dill Plumbing Co., Washington, Mo. (1926)
- W.L.
Hickey Sons, LLC., San Francisco, Calif. (1904)
- Henry
Gonzalez Plumbing Co., Tampa, Fla. (1929)
- Leonard Plumbing
& Heating, Marco Island, Fla. (1902)
In
addition, all 100 75-years-or-more plumbing contracting firms that entered,
regardless
of whether they have ever been Gerber users, will
receive a commemorative gift from Gerber to honor their accomplishments and
endurance in the industry and their community.
